RNA Isolation Protocol from Tissue Samples

Place the desired tissue in the prechilled mortar, add liquid nitrogen and grind to a fine powder with the pestle. .. Transfer the ground tissue to a Falcon 2059 tube and add 1ml monophasic isolation reagent per 100mg tissue. .. Homogenize the tissue for 15-30 seconds with a polytron mechanical homogenizer. ..
